The Recipe for a Brighter Day

Hot Tub Soup

December 02, 2010  |   Recipes,Soup   |     |   4 Comments

Don’t be like this icy fellow.

Serves one

Takes 10-15 mins

You need a blender

It’s snowing as I type. Is cold food appetizing? No. Does the thought of a salad fill me with excitement? No. How about a bowl of warm soup? Mmmmm. 118 degrees is still considered raw, and as my friend Alex pointed out, a hot tub is 104 degrees and that’s pretty warm. So here we go, hot tub soup, my favourite dinner this week.

Have to try this one – doesn’t the Vitamix heat it up too if you keep blending?

yea but the Thermomix is a lot more efficient, it actually has a heating mechanism, the Vitamix heats by friction, I’m not convinced of the wisdom of that.

    Hi Kate

I just made and ate this lovely soup. Raw soups are one of my favourite foods. I especially liked the sauerkraut on top. I will add it to my list of favourite soups. Thank you Marian
