The Recipe for a Brighter Day

Queen Bee Chocolate

July 09, 2011  |   Chocolate,Recipes   |     |   3 Comments

Makes about 50 squares

You need a high power blender or food grinder

Takes 15 mins to make & then you need to allow 2-3 hours for it to set

This Royal Jelly powder is very new to me, but it has fast made its way into my top ten don’t-want-to-go-without products. I used to do Royal Jelly back in the day, when the only other Superfood around was Spirulina, so when a friend sent us samples of his extra potent Royal Jelly I was very excited to see what it could do. Royal Jelly, as you may know, is fed to the Queen Bee, and it is only the presence of Royal Jelly in the diet which makes her different from all the other worker bees. The Queen grows as much as six times bigger than the other bees! This stuff is very potent and when I first had it I was definitely a bit gung-ho and over did it. I would recommend quarter of a teaspoon a day to begin with: having a square or two of this chocolate in the morning is a great way to start your day.
